Posted On: 07/22/2024 Avenue D Family Dental offers dental care with a warm and friendly manner. I recently had a dental emergency where two crowns needed to be reattached. I was able to schedule same day appointments and the work (and an x-ray) were completed with no charge! David G

Posted On: 07/01/2024 I recently came here about 4.5 weeks ago. Before doing anything I made sure that my insurance was in network with them before coming in. Double tripled checked with my insurance and called them to verify. Insurance gave me the green light and the office gave me the green light. Cool. The front desk ladies are nice and my overall experience wasn’t terrible (up to this point) I really just came in there for a cleaning I wasn’t expecting to get a filling but they persisted. But the doctor I saw stated that they were going to remove the cavity on from what I seen on the x-ray tooth #31 on my mandible. Cool. Then this is where things turned into a nightmare. They were stating how I needed treatment done for my gums which wouldn’t be covered by my insurance and it’s a $5000 cost. And I would have to do at least half of the deposit down. I stated not in this session maybe next time. After I spoke to person in charge of I guess finance they kinda had attitude and just called the doctor in to continue with the filling. Doctor didn’t numb me enough cause I felt all the drilling and burning but doctor said I’ll be fine. A couple of days later my whole right side of my face hurts (from my jaw , ear , to my head hurts!) they stated it’s common to have discomfort after a few days but my tooth was literally so sensitive…. A week later prior to the filling the office calls me to state to me that I am out of network with them with my insurance. And come to find out the doctor who worked on my filling gave me nerve damage (found this out from another dental office), and I have to get a root canal done. Definitely won’t be coming back here ….
